"Reuters reports that the legislation to drastically increase fines for broadcast indecency will move quickly in the U.S. House of Representatives. Lawmakers have proposed a boost in fines on stations and entertainers to $500,000 per violation. The current maximum is $32,500. The bill also requires the FCC to consider revoking a station's license if it is cited three times."
