RTF shouts 'action' with new studio - The Whit - News

"On Monday, the 26-year-old department unveiled their brand new $400,000 digital television studio to a crowd of students, faculty, alumnus and professional journalists. The studio, which was funded by a grant from the State of New Jersey's Equipment Leasing Fund (ELF), features a new soundstage, equipment and professionally designed sets. "

WHBC Wins Big at Conference - The Hilltop - Campus

"Spring cleaning is in session and WHBC 830AM Channel 51, Howard University's student radio station has done a major clean up at the 27th Annual Black College Radio Conference.

The conference was from April 8 to 9 at the Renaissance Hotel in Atlanta. The awards ceremony took place on Saturday evening and WHBC received four out of the six awards given to individuals. "

Class broadcasts student voices - Connection - Features

"'I have learned a lot from Snowden,' said Ryan Bogs, 20, CRC radio production major. 'Throughout my life I had viewed radio as just having many microphones, switchboards and CDs, but with what Snowden has taught me, I have learned the meats and potatoes of radio.' Bogs has also learned there is more to radio than just being in the studio. You have to go out and mingle with the public, because without a strong relationship with the public, a radio station will not survive. "
